The SPF 50+ designation, which indicates UVB protection, means that with proper use, you will be able to stay out in the sun without being burned for at least 50x longer than if you were not wearing sunscreen. The PA++++ designation shows that the 2015 version of Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence has UVA protection of at least 16 PPD. PA++++ is currently the highest range of UVA protection measured in the Japanese skin care industry.
